Will Monorepos Make a Comeback?
So a company called NX wants to take monorepo's mainstream, and they recently got 8.6 million in seed funding. It's not like any other new company. It's actually founded by ex-Google employees and a lot of angel investors were jumping right into it, including one of the co-founders of GitHub.
Now, this might come as a surprise to a lot of developers like you and me because, in the last 10-15 years, there was a movement of moving away from mono repositories and moving towards microservices. Small projects, a project that handles one single system in your architecture, right? And this company, including a lot of angel investors, now believes that mono repositories are the way to go in the future.
What do you think about it?
